The Cambria Community Healthcare District is a public, tax and fee supported special district located in San Luis Obispo County, California. The District operates an Advanced Life Support ambulance (ALS) service, owns a professional medical building and provides community health education.
We are a highly trained team of EMTs/Paramedics and Staff dedicated to providing the highest level of pre-hospital care with sensitivity, compassion, integrity, and quality.

Our primary response area encompasses over 800 square miles, 2 highways (California Highway 1 and California Highway 46), and over 7,000 residents plus and an estimated 1 million visitors each year. Our response area extends from California Highway 1 North of Cayucos (Villa Creek) all the way to the Monterey/San Luis Obispo County line. The response area extends inland approximately 15 miles, following the Santa Lucia Mountain range. The CCHD also maintains a contract to provide emergency medical services into the south coastal zone of Monterey County, which includes a coastal area extending up to the community of Pacific Valley.
We regularly transport to 3 local hospital emergency rooms, including a Level III Trauma Center and STEMI Center.

Normal office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm*
*Office staff are subject to meetings, vacation and emergency calls; therefore, it is possible that the offices will be temporarily closed to the public. We recommend calling ahead to make an appointment.
